How to care for your Scooter’s Battery
Thursday, March 8th, 2007A rechargeable battery powers all of the electric scooters that are selling in the stores. Your scooter can be in perfect shape, but if your battery is not charged, then your scooter is not going anywhere. So it is vital that you take care of the battery for your scooter. There are a few things that you can do in this respect.
Recharging
Do not wait until your battery is fully out of power before you decide to recharge it. It is a good idea to recharge your battery scooter before you settle in for the night. It will not work to your advantage if you are halfway to your destination when your scooter suddenly stops because you did not charge it, because you thought that it had enough power take you to and from your destination. When you recharge it on a regular basic, it will keep the battery “fresh”, so to speak.
Charge it Completely
Whenever you are charging your battery scooter do not just charge it halfway and say to yourself that you are just making a short trip to your friend next door and that will be enough power to take you to and from there. While this may be the case, this will not be working out to the battery’s advantage in the long run. By allow it to be charged completely, you will be allowing all of the components of the batteries to work in their capacity. If you are consistently only charging the batter only halfway then only certain parts of the battery will constantly be active, while the other half will remain “dry” and in the end that will shorten the life span of the battery. Not to mention the fact that your scooter will not be working at it’s full potential.
