These kinds of races have now begun to establish its name ever since its inception, and this led to more possible options for both Go Kart enthusiasts and racers alike when it comes to the types of races to be done and vehicles to be used.

Off Road Go Karts has definitely faced a lot of changes and developments before it reach the stage where it is at today. It generated a lot of innovations for the whole automobile racing industry, and more so innovated the way vehicles should perform, how they should be designed and how they should be used in most off-road races. It was Honda, the famous automobile manufacturing company from Japan, who released the first ever version of go karts in the year 1977. It was named or called Odyssey, and it features a 250 c.c. stroke engine, single seats and an automatic transmission coming from the engine.

The main difference of Off Road Go Karts to traditional racing karts is the tires. For off road karts, their tires are much bigger if compared to the more traditional ones, and this is specifically designed for the sole purpose that off-road surfaces are much harsher and a lot more difficult surface to race upon. However, as time passed by, certain changes happened during the evolution of these karts, eventually leaving some parts of the original designs that were released by Honda.
