Razor Scooters
Sunday, April 8th, 2007Gino Tsai is a mechanical engineer and the owner of the JD Corporation where he produces bicycles. While searching for an effective way to navigate around the large complex without having to walk, Tsai came up with the idea of a scooter.
This scooter was not just another scooter; it had to be small enough to travel around inside his factory without getting in the way of the people who were working there. After five years of design and re-design, Tsai came up with an aluminum scooter which was lightweight and collapsible.
Tsai didn’t stop there. He figured if the scooter worked so well for him that other people would want one too. The late 1990s began a new decade which eventually brought the Razor scooter to the
The lightweight Razor scooter is made of either aluminum or steel and features a lever near the back wheel which serves as a brake. The entire frame collapses which makes it easy to carry. This is especially good for those who ride their scooter to work or shopping. Leaving the scooter on the street runs the risk of being stolen.
Razor scooters are popular items to those school kids who are out on spring or summer break. These kids are keeping the pavement hot with these ever popular scooters. Many kids see them as being a skate board with a motor.
Most kids will do some modifications to the Razor scooter so they can withstand the abuse which most kids give them. These scooters will see many crashes and impacts as each kid tries to out-do the other. There is one thing for sure; almost every kid will have a Razor scooter on his or her Christmas/birthday list.
